Matte fluid eye paint (art of darkness): Star of the show! It takes time to dry down, so you have time to blend. Either apply on a palette, dip your brush, and apply in thin layers (or a shadow) or you can use an eyeliner brush to apply thickly in one wet line, but you can't move until it dries. It dries with a rubbery "grippy" feeling so it was excellent for layering powder eyeshadows on top. Shelf life of 12 months. Doubt I'll use it up completely but I could see this staple being a repurchase. Do note that it struggles to sheer out in the 20-0% range in a seamless gradient due to how the formula dries, which I attribute to thr color being black (very pigmented). I'd try other colors.
Line artist (sad girl): gorgeous cobalt color! It is not fully opaque in one swipe; you have to let it dry & layer. While it is "smudgeable" in texture & dry time, the pigment doesn't sheer out easily. It's the kind of long wear eyeliner which will crack off instead of fade. It removed easily with several types of makeup remover. The sharpener is actually good!
Shadowstick (oxide): this seems most useful in the waterline, for which it performed easily and well. I struggle to see the usage as a shadow. It applies easily and creamy, but it doesn't not blend easily like the fluid eye paints and was extremely patched even when I worked very quickly. It did dry to the same rubbery, grippy texture, on which powder eyeshadows applied vibrantly and very well. Because of the stiffness in the…
